In 1998 the physicians of the esteemed Lake Centre for Orthopaedics decided to expand their practice in order to improve patient care and maintain their leadership position in the Tri-County medical arena. The doctors envisioned a comprehensive orthopedic care environment that would allow patients from Lake, Sumter and Marion counties easier access to the widest possible range of allied healthcare services. That vision has come to life with the expanded Florida Musculoskeletal Institute. The addition of new doctors, health professionals and advanced technology has created a pioneering, interdisciplinary approach to orthopaedic care that provides patients the highest quality medical services.

Florida Musculoskeletal Institute is also proud to offer patients an on-site Osteoporosis Centre and Workers’ Health Centre, as well as affiliated Chiropractic Care. It is part of FMI’s ongoing commitment to regularly review and expand its care offerings as the needs of individuals and the community evolve.
